Thank you for stopping by and viewing my website.  My name is Efren Lopez and I have had rollers since 1992 then had to get rid of them in 1999.  I just got back into them Sept. of 2006 and am hoping to learn as much as I can from my new friends in the hobby.  Most of my birds were purchased or given to me by my good friend Keith London.

My history and how I got back into the hobby

My brother David and I got into the hobby around 1992 but started really getting into it around 1995 when we met Keith London.  My brother and I were flying some of our birds that we purchased from local pet stores and some that we obtained from Kevin Adams of Inglewood, when we strayed in a spinner that had a name band with Keith's info.  We contacted Keith and returned his bird, he gave us a few spinners in return.  Over the years we received some very good birds from Keith and loved the way they performed.  In 1999 we had to get rid of our birds due to major addition/remodel to my parents home in Inglewood, so we gave Keith all of our birds and told him that we would get them back in about a year or so...  That  year turned into 7 years.  We kept in contact with Keith over the years but when my brother and I purchased our own homes in Hacienda Heights my brother said he was going to get back into raising roller's.  I told him that I would like to as well and that now that we both have our own houses our parents couldn't make us get rid of them.  Around Sept. of 2007 we began visiting Keith more often and Keith told us that he would give us each 8 pair of his breeders to get us going.  Being a very busy time for me as well as remodeling my house my brother with the help of Keith London and Kenneth Diessel build his loft and got his 8 pairs and more from Keith.  He then began to buy some squeakers from Keith and was bragging about how good they were. So being the competitive big brother that I am, I ran and bought some of Keith's top breeders as well as a Kit and around 40 squeakers from his proven breeders/pairs.  Around October my loft was finally built and I got all my birds from Keith including the 8 pairs.  I joined the NBRC club and a few days later Hector Coya called me and invited me to join his club, The San Gabriel Valley Spinners.  My brother and I are now members of SGVS and are enjoying our fly's and new friends in the sport.
